Membership fee increase

From 7 June 2012 it will cost just £5 to join the WFCCU, with £1 of this paid back into your Savings Account. There will also be a £3 charge on all loans, which still makes us about the cheaper lender around. This essential increase will help cover our costs and make us stronger for the future.

Legal Loan Sharking: Local Action Day 22 June

Most of our members will know of Stella Creasy MP’s long-running campaign to tackle the financial problems created by payday lending and to introduce legislation to cap the costs of credit in the UK. This week in parliament she tried yet again to introduce a law to tackle legal loan sharking.
