Can you help
with Housing Benefits?
Housing Benefit can make life complicated for tenants and their
landlords.
Because it's paid to the tenant rather than direct to their landlord to
cover rent, it can be eaten up by overdrafts, standing orders, or simply
be spent by mistake.
The result can be rent arrears, evictions and in the worst cases,
homelessness.
Alternatively, tenants can arrange to have their Housing Benefit paid to
the WFCCU.
We're covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, so the
money is always 100% safe and we'll pass the payments directly onto the
landlord, on time, every time.
So there's no way it can go anywhere other than its intended
destination.
To join our Rent Direct Scheme we simply need the agreement of both
parties, together with proof of ID and address. To cover our costs, we
deduct a small charge from the landlord's payment.
