You and Your Credit Union

You may have already taken the first step of becoming a member of WFCCU or you may have already made the decision to do so. Now you may be wondering if there is any other way in which you can contribute to the viability of your credit union.

There are several other ways in which you can help the WFCCU grow to be a leading financial cooperative in your community for your benefit and that of your children.

You may start by simply spreading the word around to your friends, neighbours and work colleagues. They can be a part of this great initiative.

Volunteers

Your credit union depends quite largely on a team of dedicated volunteers in carrying out its business for members. You are welcome to join the team.

Volunteering also allows you to:

  • Meet other people
  • Learn new skills
  • Get even better at what you are already good at
  • Build your community
  • Gain valuable work experience
  • Contribute to the success of a progressive financial organisation
  • Achieve personal goals – avoid idleness

Partnerships

WFCCU continues to welcome partnerships with various types of organisations. The promotion of our members’ long-term interests is one of our key drivers.

As a WFCCU business partner, you may:

  • Make a financial contribution that allows you to actively support the work of your community.
  • Encourage your employees to save with their credit union.
  • Provide training and presentation sessions to our volunteers and/or members, for the development of our community - this is a good opportunity for service organisations and one that enables you to promote your organisations work as well.
  • Participate in a joint discount scheme - this initiative is a great one for retailers. Our members can be your customers and we can all benefit through special membership discounts.
